Born and raised in Athens, Georgia, Kevin Epps is a trial attorney and founding partner of Epps, Holloway, DeLoach and Hoipkemier, LLC. Kevin is known for his passion for his clients in the courtroom and for his community. Kevin’s area of practice ranges from estate litigation, business litigation, class action, complex civil litigation, personal injury, and torts. Kevin continues to be recognized as a Georgia Super Lawyer having obtained this status since 2015, an honor reserved to 2.5% of lawyers in the State.
While Kevin has extensive litigation experience in an around Northeast Georgia, he continues to practice in federal courts across the nation, resulting in judgments exceeding 60 million dollars. He has tried hundreds of cases to jury verdict and defended those verdicts at the appellate level. In one of his cases that was argued before the Georgia Supreme Court, the Supreme Court upheld a 6 million dollar verdict for his client and in doing so established law governing how estates would be administered in the State of Georgia.
Kevin graduated from Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina and attended law school at the University of Georgia School of Law. Kevin and his law partners created the Kellie R. Casey Scholarship Fund at the University of Georgia School of Law to recognize Casey’s contributions to the school and its storied advocacy program. A scholarship will be awarded to law students with a demonstrated interest or achievement in advocacy.
Kevin is active in Georgia High School Mock Trial. He served as the Chair of the 2019 National High School Championship Committee, and he was able to bring the National Mock Trial Competition to Athens, Georgia that included 45 states and 5 countries. Kevin is also active in many local organizations including the Athens-Clarke County Mentor Program.
